What to Wear

After booking a session, the first thing clients usually ask themselves is "What am I going to wear?!?" No need to panic. I have some easy guidelines to keep in mind when selecting the wardrobe for your session.

Think simple. Think comfortable. Think of your personal style and how that reflects who you are. My photography style is casual and modern, so our session is not the time for your frilly "Sunday best". Think denim jeans, simple cotton sundresses, and bare feet in the summer. Think cozy sweaters and colorful hats and scarves in the winter. For families and siblings, think coordinated colors, but not matchy-matchy.

Simple and casual need not be boring, however. Love bright colors? Love funky, fun accessories that show your personality? Bring 'em on! Just avoid overly busy patterns, large logos, and anything that will look dated in ten years. Just trust me on this one...you may remember the 80's.

Newborns look best in the outfit they were born in: their birthday suit. Newborn babies photograph best naked, with a simple diaper cover, or a plain onesie. Dressing them like mini-adults often looks awkward and out of place. Don't worry, I have lots of tricks to keep them toasty warm during the session.

I am always available for consultation prior to our session to help you with your clothing selections. Feel free to bring multiple changes of clothing to the session as well.
